Association for People With Disability (APD) | Bangalore
TOTAL AREA, 64,000 sft. Campus Master-plan and building concept design for special needs institution, APD. Growing student enrollment, increasing programs, adjoining railway tracks and an insufficient existing building were the reason for our new endeavour.
Specific program and therapy requirements were the core of new building. Non occupied, utility spaces, ramps were placed closer to railway tracks to buffer the noise. Ground plus three floors, with basement parking was proposed. Administration offices were integrated with institution spaces.
Compressed stabilized earth blocks, CSEB and other sustainable measures were introduced to reduce carbon footprint.
Our involvement lead to the design for APD special needs park. The project was featured in TOI, Oct 2016.
Bangalore, Building Blocks Primary School
Master plan for a 2.5 acre site for a 55,000 sft primary school.
Educational spaces were organized around central outdoor space to facilitate activity based learning.
Central courtyards also functions as cooling chambers, being shaded most part of the day.
Cross ventilation, ridge vents and south side wall gardens reduce heat gain to make way for a comfortable learning environment.
RT Nagar School | Bangalore
45,000 Sft, RT Nagar School, for 1-10 grade. The management wanted various options for facade design.
From contemporary brick and plaster to deconstructivist elements, were explored in the concepts.

Steel frame, pre-engineered panel contraction, for 11,000 sft auditorium space, with stage area.
The hall has a full fledged kitchen and food service space to support 800 staff and students. Sports arena features collapsible gallery seating on hard wood flooring. ADA Compliant design.
Arundhati was a part of core design team. Project by BFGC, before merging with IBI Group. Rendered images & completed images displayed.
Gavilan College, Renovation |
Gilroy, USA
35,000 sft 1940s building rennoivation undertaken in 2007. Accessibility compliance with services upgrade and complete finishes re-specification was the scope.
The music building was re-floored with a new gallery and stage area, with new practice rooms. The building got new accoustic finishes.
