Arundhati was a part of the core design team and developed 3D models and conceptualized the new station.
The Master Plan envisioned, focussed on the joint property rights to raise millions of dollars from prime real-estate. Making “tunnelling” of High Speed Rail corridor in downtown Palo Alto, economically feasible. Project site was 31 acres and won the AIACC 2010 Vision award.
Philadelphia, Avenue of the Arts (Urban Design Research)
The project extended to 11 city blocks along Broadway Street. Avenue of the Arts was proposed by the City Government to connect new and old performing art theatres. There were concerns in the community about inflated rents, eventually leading to eviction of several smaller artist communities.
The research mapped small arts based communities interested to join the project. The famous Mural Arts Program (MAP) supported youth communities keeping them away from distractions, like substance abuse and graffiti. The research focussed on ways to make the BIG and the small artists interact and benefit from an Art Oriented Development.
